In a beautiful town lived an old man named Old Mike. He was very old, but he had a special dream—to earn everyone's respect. Every day, Old Mike would dress neatly, carrying a cane, and wander through every corner of the town, asking people for respect. He would say to everyone, "I am Old Mike, and I hope you can respect me because respect is a virtue." However, the people in the town didn't quite understand Old Mike's approach. They felt he was too self-centered; respect should be mutual, not demanded. One day, a kitten named Minnie met Old Mike. Once again, Old Mike asked for respect. Minnie thought for a moment and then said to Old Mike, "Old Mike, I am willing to respect you, but I also hope you can respect me and others." Upon hearing this, Old Mike felt a bit embarrassed. He realized his mistake and started learning to respect others. Every day, he greeted people in the town with warmth and a friendly attitude, no longer demanding respect but earning it through his actions. Gradually, the people in the town began to respect Old Mike because he had become a person worthy of respect. Old Mike understood a lesson: respect cannot be demanded but must be given by others. Only by treating others with kindness can one truly earn respect and friendship. In the end, Old Mike and the people in the town became good friends. They shared happiness, faced challenges together, and created an atmosphere of respect and love among themselves.

每個政黨在立法委員選舉前，都會參考上一屆的投票人數與自己的得票率來決定這一屆的不分區立委名單，所以不分區立委名單的排序，是一個政黨的信念體現。為了擠進安全名單這扇窄門，同黨同志黑函滿天，互砍見骨。

立法委員分為依選區產生的「區域立委」73席、「不分區立委」34席、「山地原住民立委」3席與「平地原住民立委」3席共113席。 「區域立委」是由選罷法規劃的選區內選出1人，且每十年必須重新檢討選區的配額，基本上是一縣市一名額，但考量人口比例的不同，例如連江縣的選舉人數一萬多人與新北市三百多萬人相比，新北市則規劃成12個選區。 「原住民立委」的選舉，採用複數選舉區制度選出。就是通過原住民身份法認證的選民，共同投票選出。票數排民前三高的候選人當選。 「不分區立委」則是由政黨提出候選人名單，依據政黨票的比例來分配34個立委席次。
